Lasell College offers a Marketing Certificate for professionals interested in increasing their career opportunities and credentials by developing a practical understanding of the operations of marketing organizations and marketing departments. Students will learn about the process of management in an organization that utilizes marketing systems, and of management of markets, brand advertising, product development, research, and focused strategies.
Students will develop a practical understanding of marketing tasks, responsibilities, and the policies and procedures that govern the concept of marketing through classes which the students can utilize for roles within organizations. Those classes include consumer behavior, marketing research, global marketing, research methods, marketing to seniors, global marketing, marketing strategy, e-commerce, social marketing, ethical theory in management, and business strategy.
Through this certification program, students demonstrate their professional and educational qualifications in the practical skills of marketing. These qualifications include but are not limited to: the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles of marketing, including the 4 P’s, to demonstrate proficiency in fundamental business principles and practices that allow for firms to operate in domestic and global markets, to demonstrate critical-thinking and analysis skills to develop marketing solutions, to analyze ethical issues that impact business decisions from economic, political, legal, and social perspectives, and to evaluate the application of technology as a strategy for competitive advantage in business.

Candidates to the certificate programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and submit an application for study in the graduate program along with all necessary documents.
Lasell College is a four-year private school located in Newton, Massachusetts. Lasell College was founded in 1851 as the Auburndale Female Seminary, a nationally respected women’s academy, by Edward Lasell. Lasell died the first semester that the school was running. The name changed to Lasell Seminary for Young Women and was known as an innovative institution that had a radical approach (for the time) to women’s education. In 1932, the school’s name changed again to Lasell Junior College and became Lasell College in 1989.
Lasell College offers bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees. LC has traditional classes as well as online courses. Lasell’s graduate programs are flexible and convenient, so students pursue an advanced degree that fits into their personal and professional lives. All master's degrees are offered online with six start dates throughout the year.
