The Associate of Science Degree in Accounting program at Laramie County Community College is made for students that need to complete the degree on their own schedule. The program is designed for those that are interested in transferring to four-year college or university to pursue a bachelor’s of science degree. Students that wish to enroll in the program should be able to complete computational work and work intensively within the courses. Students may transfer to the University of Wyoming’s College of Business if they receive a minimum GPA of 2.5 (4.0 scale). Generally, the program lasts a total of four semesters (two years). Online courses are flexible, convenient and are designed to provide a quality education.
In order to complete the program, the student must complete a minimum of 72 credit hours. Some courses that will be offered during the third semester of the program are Principles of Micro Economics, Principles of Management, Cost Accounting, Mathematical Applications for Business, and Statistical Concepts-Business 17. Those who wish to take courses for satisfactory/unsatisfactory grades will not be able to apply the credits to the degree requirements.
Program students will learn the foundations within various areas of accounting such as mathematics, business, and statistics. The accounting courses within the program will teach the generally accepted accounting principles and the proper financial communication skills. Instructors will educate students in areas such as financial statements, financial analysis, corporations, partnerships, international accounting, cost accounting and budgeting.

Laramie County Community College is a two-year public school located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. LCCC was established in 1968 and now has campuses in Cheyenne and Laramie and outreach centers at F.E. Warren Air Force Base and in Pine Bluffs.
Laramie County Community College offers certificates of completion and associate’s degrees. Academic divisions include: Arts and Humanities; Business, Agriculture, and Computer Technology; Education, Natural, and Social Sciences; Health Sciences and Wellness; and Workforce and Community Development. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend in traditional classroom settings as well as in online courses and teleconference courses. The school has articulation agreements with nearly 20 universities to make sure that most classes will transfer.
