International Business Associate in Business Degree

Program Details

The Associate in Business in International Business program at Lansing Community College is for students that are interested in global business and management. The courses are offered online and have flexible schedules. The course flexibility, however, does not mean the program is self-paced. There will be strict due-dates for assignments such as quizzes, discussions, and projects. Some courses may require attendance on campus in order to take an exam or to give a presentation.

Lansing Community College provides various resources to help make online learning as comfortable as possible.  Access will be given to online tutoring, an online library, and a 24/7 live phone service providing technical support. For those that need course assistance, there will be an academic advisor available to answer any questions and offer enrollment guidance.

The program’s curriculum will cover a variety of topics within the field of international business. Students will learn how to plan, organize and lead projects within international businesses. Instructors will teach students the skills that are needed to help business achieve their goals. Generally, students that are proficient in another language will be able to advance further and have more employment opportunities. Upon graduation, students will be able to work in a variety of national and international business settings.

The program will require successful completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours to grant graduation eligibility.  The 60 credits include 30 Requirement credit hours and 30-34 Limited Choice credit hours. The Limited Choice credits contain three “Choice” areas. Choice 1: General Education Core Areas requires 9-13 credits, Choice 2: Foreign Language requires 8 credits, and Choice 3: International/Business Related requires 13 credits.
