To be eligible for the Professional Preparation Program for ESL, applicants must possess a minimum 3.0 GPA undergrad, or 3.0 from the last 60 credit hours. Applicants for the Professional Preparation Program for ESL Education Certification who do not meet the GPA requirement need to complete the GRE and receive greater than 428 for consideration.
Through a series of four courses, students focus on the nature and structure of language, foundations of ESL education, planning, assessment, and evaluation, and instruction in ESL classrooms.
