Bachelor of Business Administration / Entrepreneurship
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship degree program prepares students for starting and running their own business. Lamar University’s B.B.A. in Entrepreneurship program teaches the foundations of finance and budget attained through finance and accounting courses. Students are taught the skills of hiring and motivating through a human resource management course. Specialized entrepreneurship courses train students to identify opportunities by developing a plan for new business.
Students are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA while pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. Transfer students are obligated to follow the same GPA requirement, maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA.
Students achieving a degree in Entrepreneurship are expected complete a total of 120 credit hours upon graduation. Students cover the basics of communication, history, mathematics, political, laboratory, and social science.
Specialized courses tailored to Entrepreneurship include Economics of Entrepreneurship, Cost Accounting, Quality and Productivity Management, and Entrepreneurial Market Opportunities. These courses are designed to introduce students to various marketing and product opportunities. Core Business courses comprise 51 credit hours.
