Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Cybersecurity is available from Kirtland Community College.  This program prepares students to enter a field where they will work on hardware and operating system security and troubleshooting; manage secure mobile, wired, and wireless devices; manager client and server systems; and manage networking security and operation security in cyberspace.  You will gain a foundation in entry-level cybersecurity, computer networking, and information technology support.  Students then build on this foundation to gain knowledge needed for more advanced areas of cybersecurity and networking.  The curriculum prepares students to gain certifications in Comp TIA A+, Network+, and Security+. 

Graduates are familiar with a variety of cybersecurity topics, including:

  • Computer programming
  • Security software design
  • Network defense
  • Defense counter measures
