Program Details

You can step into an IT project management career when you complete your degree in King University's 100% online B.S. in Information Technology program and choose the Project Management (PM) track.

The program prepares you to excel in security, programming, network architecture, or database administration with core IT skills.

Then you'll focus your studies by taking three courses to learn the five phases of project management as developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

In the Project Initiation and Planning course, you'll learn how to identify projects based on strategy, develop a functional project charter, obtain buy-in from key stakeholders, develop a project budget, organize work into individual tasks, and develop a project schedule.

The Project Execution and Control course examines the key factors to monitor as you oversee the work in a project, such as managing costs, schedules, tasks, and contracts. You will also learn the benefits of key performance indicator charts.

In the Managing Project Conclusion and Assessment course, you'll learn how to document lessons learned during a project that may be valuable for future projects, especially if the projects are in a portfolio.

You can learn 100% online during the most convenient times and in the best locations for you to study. Additionally, you can complete the degree in just 16 months with transfer credits.
