The 48 required hours are split into 12 4-credit courses, including one introductory seminar, 9 3000-level, and 2 4000-level classes. In the 3000-level, students with learn about accounting, research methods, biostatistics, and management improvements and outcomes. 4000-level courses include instruction in ethical and legal issues as well as understanding sustainability in the modern healthcare field. The focus on ethics, finance, and management may prepare graduates for leadership in whatever sector of the healthcare industry they choose.

Applicants must have an Associate’s degree or 60 hours of credit from King University or an accredited institution, while having maintained a 2.2 GPA. Transfer work must have been completed with a final grade of C- or better and is weighed and accepted depending on the institution’s accreditation, quality, and program relevance; up to 88 credits may be accepted.
King University is a four-year private school located in Bristol, Tennessee. The Holston Presbytery established King College in 1867 to be a Presbyterian College, naming the school after Reverend James King, who donated 25 acres of land for the campus. King outgrew its small campus and moved to its new 135-acre location about 2 miles from downtown Bristol. In 2013, King College changed its name to King University.
King University offers undergraduate majors, minors, pre-professional degrees and concentrations in fields such as business, digital media, nursing, forensic science, education, and humanities.
