Master of Science in Systems Engineering

Program Details

The online Master of Science in Systems Engineering program provides an opportunity for working engineers and technical professionals with significant computing backgrounds to gain advanced systems engineering skills, preparing them for more responsibility in the computing industry and for further postgraduate studies.  The curriculum provides skills and knowledge that help professionals assess program risks, understand requirements, and develop solutions to meet the complex needs of business and technology.  Students learn to solve problems and issues in the development of mission-critical software to meet the needs of business and industry.  Course material comes from a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, service, and government agencies.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, physical science, or other technically oriented major from an accredited college or university
  • Official transcript to be sent from each college or university attended
  • An official copy of scores from the “General Test” of the GRE if applicable, OR have attained an aggregate undergraduate GPA of 3.5 OR have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience OR have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
  • At least two recommendations 
  • A 1 – 2 page Statement of Purpose describing your career and educational goals, and
  • A current resume
