Kendall College, located in Chicago, Illinois, offers an M.A in Business with a special concentration in Foodservice management. The Foodservice management degree provides all students create a solid foundation in all foodservice industry areas. This includes foodservice operation, procurement, production, distribution and even consumer behavior.

The Foodservice Concentration at Kendall College focuses on preparing students for all type of industries and businesses. Career options the foodservice concentration helps prepare students for include network-based and large-scale operations. Large-scale operations are ones such as chain and franchise restaurants and catering companies. Students are also prepared to work for large retailing and food delivery entitles that package, prepare and supple food to places such as schools or even commercial businesses.

The Bachelor of Arts in Business at Kendall College teaches students skills that will help them excel in successful careers. The Business School recognizes that the marketplace is ever changing and unpredictable. Their goal is then to help prepare students for whatever comes their way in the business world.  With a solid academic foundation, case studies, situational challenges and more students gain everything they need through this program. At the end of the program all students will complete their own capstone that will demonstrate their acquired business knowledge in a real-world environment.

The courses Foodservice Management Concentration students will take include: Introduction to Foodservices Management, Quantity Foodservice/Production, Logistics of Foodservices Management, Consumer Behavior, Sanitation, Ingredients, Food and Beverage Management and Human Nutrition. With these courses students will receive all the skills and knowledge they will need to excel in any career path.

    School Overview

    Kendall College is a four-year private school located in Chicago, Illinois. The school was founded in 1934 as Evanston Collegiate Institute by two seminarians endorsed by the Scandinavian Conference of the Methodist Church. In 1950 the school was renamed Kendall College to honor the Washington National’s Founders, Curtis Kendall and his family. Kendall College is a subsidiary of Laureate Education, which operates an international network of accredited campus-based and online universities

    Kendall College offers certificates of completion, associate’s degrees, and bachelor’s degrees in hospitality management, culinary arts, business, and early childhood education.
