The online Doctor of Philosophy in Adult Learning and Leadership program focuses on current issues and challenges faced by those who work with adults, preparing them for careers in which the application of adult learning principles, leadership, theories, and research are important. The curriculum is broad and human-centered, allowing each individual to select courses that best meet his or her professional goals. Specializations are also available in leadership, teaching and learning, technology, community development, training, or workforce development.
Must attend two residential 3-credit-hour doctoral courses on-campus (in week-long or multiple weekend formats)
Bachelor's degree with 3.0 GPA in the final two years or approximately the last 60 credit hours
Must pass master’s dissertation proposal defense prior to becoming a candidate for this program
