Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies is a liberal arts degree from Johnson & Wales University.  This, like other liberal arts degrees, prepares students to become critical thinkers with strong analytical and communication skills that allow them to examine issues from multiple perspectives and solve problems.  Students gain knowledge that allows them to bridge professional disciplines and learn skills that are useful in various fields.  You will learn to apply oral and written rhetorical strategies to communicate complex arguments and to examine complex issues, analyze arguments, conduct credible research, solve problems, make ethical decisions, and create original ideas and approaches.  Graduates are able to synthesize and apply knowledge from multiple perspectives to evaluate complex issues and address problems while also critically examining and interpreting complexities of human culture, expression, and behavior through theories and methods of various disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
