Program Details

The master’s degree in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality is a fully online, part-time interdisciplinary program. It is a first of its kind collaboration between the university’s schools of public health, medicine, nursing and patient safety and quality. 

The program educates students in evidence-based processes and protocols that reduce preventable patient harm and improve clinical outcomes. Courses explore topics in epidemiology, statistical concepts in public health, and measurement and evaluation in quality and safety. Students will conclude the curriculum by completing an integrative activity designed to showcase their competencies in combating real-world healthcare issues.
