Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice program is designed for students who want careers as local, state, or federal law enforcement or correctional officers; commercial and industrial security officers; and private or government investigators.  The curriculum develops the knowledge and skills needed to meet these career goals, including teaching students about ethical behavior, the components of the criminal justice system, the purpose of the juvenile justice system and alternatives to it, theories for causation of crime, and interactive approaches of law enforcement agencies and the citizens served.  Courses include:

  • Survey of Criminal Justice 
  • Ethics and the Criminal Justice Professional 
  • Police Response to Critical Incidents 
  • Criminal Law, Evidence and Procedures


  • High school diploma or equivalent or 18 years of age
  • Official transcripts, if applicable
