Program Details

The online Doctor of Health Sciences program allows students to take their health sciences education to the next level in a flexible format and convenient environment.  Students will evaluate, synthesize, and apply an integrative approach to solving healthcare problems from public policy to community health assessment, and pursue scholarly research agendas in an emphasis area that is suitable for dissemination to a peer-reviewed venue.  

Students may select to focus in:

  • Healthcare Administration
  • Community and Public Health
  • Education and Academia


  • A master’s degree awarded by a regionally accredited institution in the field of healthcare, public health, education, management, or other health-related discipline
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better for all graduate degrees
  • Personal essay 
  • Current resume/CV 
  • Official transcripts 
  • Online interview 
  • A master's level statistics course, plus a master or doctoral level research methods or equivalent course
  • Preferred 3 years’ experience working and/or teaching as a(an):
    • professional clinician
    • public health practitioner
    • educator in a health-related field or healthcare administration
    • healthcare manager/administrator
