Program Details

The online Master of Science and Mathematics Teaching with a concentration in Biology is a combination of biology and educational courses designed to bring the teachers up-to-date with topics and concepts at the cutting edge of biology.  The program offers expertise in a wide range of interests including nutrition, biochemistry, molecular biology, ecology, and pathophysiology.  Designed for middle and high school biology teachers, the program offers career opportunities in secondary education biology and other professions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Acceptable evidence of the applicant’s writing ability as determined by a writing sample completed under the supervision of the screening committee
  • The Graduate English Competency Examination was passed, or in the event of failure, passed ENG 500 with a grade of B or better
  • Earned a 3.00 cumulative GPA
