Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Informatics degree program is an online computer information system degree that prepares students for career entry or advancement in current jobs.  This program will help you think about the big picture, building strong technical skills and an understanding of how technology is used to communicate and solve interdisciplinary problems facing society.  Courses emphasize analysis, synthesis, and evaluation while teaching students to infuse information science and technology into people’s daily lives, both in and out of the workplace.  Students learn to think critically, problem solve, communicate effectively, and improve skills in mathematics and science.  The curriculum focuses on the social impact of computing and approaches to processing information to develop the next generation of information technology tools.
