Program Details

The online Master of Science in Agronomy from Iowa State University teaches students to produce food, fuel and fiber in a more efficient and economical way for the benefit of humans and the environment. The online MS in Agronomy is designed for professionals working in industry and government. For a comprehensive online learning environment, students interact with the course materials in several ways (study questions, drag and drops, short videos, “Try this”, calculations, and more.). Students interact with their instructor during online Office Hours using the Zoom interface instead of lecture videos.

Discussion topics include:

  • Bioenergy
  • Conservation methods
  • Water quality improvement

Typically, students complete one lesson per week, with assignments due once a week. Students are required to travel to campus once.
