Program Details
The Associate of Applied Business in Business Management provides foundational skills in the areas of business management, accounting, business law, and quantitative reasoning with potential concentrations in business management, human resource management, marketing, entrepreneurship, or accounting. The program is designed for students who seek to acquire a complete framework in entry-level business concepts. Learners will acquire skills and knowledge applicable to the business profession.
- Explain what management is (its function) and explain the role of a manager.
- Define what human resource management is and its potential challenges.
- Analyze motivation theories and the relationship between motivation and performance.
- Articulate the importance of marketing and its role in relation to an organization.
- Describe types of management delineating the marked differences within the business landscape.
- Interpret basic and common financial statements and business budgeting.
- Identify an organization’s stakeholders, its ethical issues, and define the concept of social responsibility.
- Explain the landscape of entrepreneurship and identify various forms of innovation.
- Demonstrate fundamental communication skills specific to oral and written language.
- Identify basic math skills as related to accounting and quantitative reasoning.
