The Associate of Applied Business in Business Management provides foundational skills in the areas of business management, accounting, business law, and quantitative reasoning with potential concentrations in business management, human resource management, marketing, entrepreneurship, or accounting. The program is designed for students who seek to acquire a complete framework in entry-level business concepts. Learners will acquire skills and knowledge applicable to the business profession.

The Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology provides foundational skills in the areas of Information Technology, required certifications, accounting, and quantitative reasoning.  The program is designed for students who seek to acquire a complete framework in the entry-level information technology arena. Learners will acquire skills and knowledge applicable to the IT profession.

• Explain what information technology is (its function) and explain the role of a manager.
• Define CompTIA and prepare for the exam.
• Analyze computer security and its function in the information technology profession.
• Solve fundamental information technology-related problems that meet organizational requirements and end-user needs.
• Utilize industry-relevant tools and technologies to design and manage computer networks and systems.

Graduates will be eligible to sit for the CompTIA Security+ for IT Professionals. This program establishes the core knowledge required for a cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. CompTIA Security+ is a globally trusted, vendor-neutral certification that validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career.  

The Associate of Applied Science in Legal Studies provides foundational skills in the areas of legal operations, US law, the justice system, and quantitative reasoning. The program is designed for students who seek to acquire a complete framework in entry-level legal concepts. Learners will acquire skills and knowledge applicable to the legal profession.

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Healthcare Management provides foundational skills in the areas of healthcare management, accounting, healthcare law, and the student-chosen healthcare specialty.  The program is designed for students who seek to acquire a complete framework in entry-level healthcare concepts. Learners will acquire the skills and knowledge applicable to their chosen healthcare professions.  Upon completion of this program, graduates are eligible to sit for the national Certified Professional Coder exam and other national licensure exams.

This program is designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of the field of medical insurance billing and coding, medical terminology, and coding and classification systems.  Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to work in hospitals, physician’s offices, healthcare agencies, and private billing companies.

Learning Outcomes: 

• Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to apply to take the AAPC’s Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam which is currently the gold standard of coding certifications.

Learners will acquire skills and knowledge applicable to their chosen social work professions.
