Program Details

The online Master of Science in Music Technology degree program is available from Indiana University Online.  This degree in music exposes students to computer-based music technology.  You will also learn about multimedia and interactive design and multimedia production techniques in this music degree.  Students develop skills in:

  • Designing software
  • Authoring tools and languages
  • Applying multimedia concepts
  • Managing technology facilities and projects

Graduates may pursue careers as producers, audio engineers, sound technicians, live sound engineers, mixed media specialists, studio designers, music editors, broadcast engineers, and production assistants.

  • E-portfolio comprised of online audio/video content demonstrating musical, computational, or other work related to music technology (minimum of 3 samples)
  • Three letters of recommendation in support of the application
  • In-person or telephone interview with graduate faculty member
