Program Details

Students interested in learning about administration may be ideal candidates for Indiana State University’s Graduate Certificate in Public Administration and Public Personnel Administration. Students must complete a total of 12 credit hours in order to earn this degree. The courses in this program vary depending on the student’s selection in public administration or public personnel administration.

There are two concentrations available in order to meet the varying needs of students. Students may only choose one certificate program; they cannot enroll or apply for both. This program is only open to those who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. The current required courses for the public administration program include the following: Proseminar in Public Administration, Organizational Behavior in Public Agencies, Public Personnel Administration, and Budgeting in Governmental Agencies.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Pa Graduate Certificate. Credits earned in this program may be applied towards credit for the completion of the Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree.

Requirements

Students must hold a bachelor degree in any field and an undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 from an accredited institution of higher learning, documented by the student's transcripts.

Restrictions

Students must be residing in either the United States or Canada, with the exception of U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.
