This program exposes students to the multiple disciplines in human resource development including: education, business, psychology, and related behavioral sciences. The curriculum is based off of the competencies from the American Society of Training and Development and Society of Human Resource Management.
The core courses emphasize important skills such as: effective communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and hands-on experience. The core courses include the following: Characteristics of HRD, Labor Relations in HRD, Professional Internship, Work-Life Integration, Developing Occupational & Training Programs, Methods & Strategies for Instructional Programs, Occupational Liability & Safety, Career Development & Employee Appraisals, Organizational Development, Continuous Performance Development, Evaluating Learner Performance, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Adult Learners in Higher Education & Training, and Contemporary Issues in HRD.
Students have the option to complete a minor, if desired. The following minors are available online: accounting, forensic accounting, human resource development, and packaging.

Completion of approximately 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above in all college-level studies.
Students must be residing in either the United States or Canada, with the exception of U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.
