Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design develops the knowledge and skills required for careers as instructional design specialists, for employment opportunities in grades PreK-12, higher education, business, government, military, or healthcare.  Competencies in the program focus on content knowledge, content pedagogy, learning environments, professional knowledge and skills, and research related to education, instruction, and training activities.  Courses are Production of Instructional Materials, Instructional Design, Learning Theory and Instructional Strategies, and Advanced Instructional Design.

Requirements

  • Hold a baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution
  • Have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all undergraduate coursework; or have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all courses taken at the graduate level
  • Other application materials may be required
  • The GRE is not required
