Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Insurance and Risk Management includes a foundation of liberal studies with business courses and a concentration in insurance and risk management.  Courses include introduction to risk and insurance, employee benefits, life insurance, and commercial property risk management and insurance.  Careers are available in professional, managerial, and technical fields, including actuarial, claims, loss control, risk management, and underwriting, as well as sales.


  • Requires 120 credits for degree completion
  • Completion of the Indiana Core 40 high school curriculum (or equivalent for non-Indiana graduates) with a grade point of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Indiana high school graduates must have passed both the mathematics and English sections of ISTEP or receive an official waiver from their high school
