Program Details
The Bachelor of Arts in Communication, an online communication degree, improves your ability to develop and deliver messages in a variety of formats to a variety of audiences. The curriculum uses both theory and professional practices to help students gain familiarity with organizations and audiences in a variety of professions. Topics covered include broadcasting, visual communication, sports media, social media, and public relations. Students benefit from an active learning environment and experienced faculty that encourage networking opportunities and experiential learning opportunities.
There are two available tracks:
- Journalism and Broadcasting prepares students for careers in media and public relations, developing content for such mediums as websites, videos, print media, images, and social media.
- Sports Media prepares students for careers in sports media or various sports organizations, working as media representatives and helping sports organizations connect and engage with the public.
