The online Diploma in Medical/Insurance Coding program prepares students for positions as medical insurance coding technicians at medical offices, hospitals, or medical facilities. Courses include Essentials of Health Records, ICD-10 Diagnostic Coding, ICD-10 Procedural Coding, Health Record Systems, Reimbursement Methods, and Health Information E-Systems.
- Official high school transcript or High School Equivalency diploma
- Official transcript from any other college(s) attended
- 2.0 grade point average or a specified score on the High School Equivalency Diploma and a pre-determined minimum score on the ACCUPLACER, ACT or SAT
- Criminal background, drug screening, and dependent adult and child abuse record checks are required prior to the beginning of practicum courses
