Program Details

The online Master of Biomedical Imaging & Signals program is a course-only degree program that prepares students for professional practice in industry in the areas of biomedical imaging and signal processing.  The curriculum is interdisciplinary and involves many facets of electrical and computer engineering, including courses and research opportunities in the Biomedical Engineering Department and other disciplines important to students interested in this field.  Required core courses are:

  • Analysis of Random Signals
  • Computer Vision and Image Processing and/or Image Processing
  • Digital Signal Processing II and /or Digital Signal Processing I
  • Physiology


  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or higher
  • Official transcripts from all institutions attended
  • GRE test scores
  • Professional statement
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Prerequisites may be required if degree is not in closely related field
