Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal program prepares students to become paralegals, also known as Legal Assistants, who will perform legal work under an attorney’s supervision.  The curriculum teaches students how to provide support to lawyers and perform a wide variety of duties including conducting legal research, participating in meetings, and reviewing legal documents for production.  Graduates are prepared to begin working after completing this program and can take electives that best suit their interests and the types of law they would like to participate in.  Courses include:
  • Law and the Legal Assistant
  • Litigation
  • Family Law
  • Wills, Estates, and Trusts
  • Legal Ethics
  • Introduction to Legal Research and Writing
