As the stigma on mental illness disappears and psychiatrists retire, there is an urgent need for nurse practitioners in the mental health field.  Husson University offers an online psychiatric nursing program, the MSN in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  This degree not only allows you to advance your career and take on a leadership role, it also prepares you to provide high-quality mental health care to patients of all ages.  The curriculum covers everything from diagnosing and assessing patients to medical and other types of therapy.
