The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University is an online counseling degree. This program prepares students for careers in counseling-related fields while combining faith, reason, and the liberal arts. The curriculum provides advanced preparation in counseling, testing, and research methods. Students also complete a practicum in a University-approved counseling setting under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or licensed professional counselor-supervisor. You will receive training that goes beyond technical training to include the teachings of Christ, reason, and the past successes and failures of humanity. Graduates of this program are prepared for careers in a variety of settings, including private practices, universities, clinics, and hospitals, or they may go on to complete doctoral study in psychology at a research university.
