Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Medical Coding program prepares students for positions in health care offices where they will assign patients’ visits and procedures performed diagnostic and procedural codes that are used for billing and insurance purposes so physicians and health care facilities receive correct financial reimbursement.  Courses include Insurance and Health Information Compliance, International Classification of Disease (ICD) Coding, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Coding, International Classification of Disease (ICD) Procedural Coding, and Reimbursement Methodologies (Physician).
