Program Details

The online AAS in Travel & Events Management degree program from Herkimer County Community College is designed to prepare students for a wide variety of employment opportunities in the travel, hospitality, and events planning fields. Experiential learning is built into the program and ranges from 30-120 hours in sites including hotels, resorts, convention centers, event management companies, airlines, convention and visitors bureaus, Walt Disney World, and the American Hospitality Academy. Graduates possess the knowledge and skills needed to:

  • Organize and plan a meeting, convention, and conference, including destination, facilities, budgeting, and logistics
  • Use industry software applications and internet technology for the travel industry


  • Official high school transcripts or GED scores
  • ACCUPLACER placement test may be required
