The online MA in Counseling provides students with a foundational overview of the counseling profession as well as coursework which may be used for certification in Virginia as a Qualified Mental Health Provider. Students may customize their education by pursuing one of the following concentrations:

Student Affairs and College Student Development Counseling
Requires two summer residencies at the Hampton University main campus
Must hold a master’s degree in an approved program (preferred) OR master level prerequisite business courses in Economics, Accounting, and Quantitative Business Analysis
