Program Details
The online Graduate Certificate in College Admission Counseling program prepares professionals in a variety of positions to counsel high school students through their postsecondary planning and admission process. These individuals are ready to respond to the constantly changing college admission process and help students navigate through the process. The curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of postsecondary education options and develops the skills to prepare and assist students in applying to postsecondary institutions. Coursework also builds the tools to help students with career development and assessment, so they can make good decisions about their postsecondary education, and prepares professionals to counsel special populations, including students of color, first generation, and low socioeconomic status, for success in the process.
