The online Associate in Applied Science in Medical Office Administration program prepares students for employment in a variety of medical office positions, such as billing and coding, dental office personnel, patient services, medical administrative personnel, and medical documents. Coursework includes medical terminology, computer applications, medical office management, medical coding, medical insurance and billing, medical legal and ethical issues, communication, and other topics depending on the subject area selected within this curriculum. Graduates are able to apply concepts of various software packages to a variety of work settings, communicate with patients and other office personnel, and manage medical records electronically and manually.
