Program Details

Greenville University's online Bachelor of Social Work degree prepares students for direct practice as licensed social workers or to continue their education at the graduate level. The program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and delivered in a flexible learning environment designed for working professionals with busy schedules. It is designed to be completed in two years, allowing students to earn their degree at an accelerated pace.

The interdisciplinary curriculum is grounded in an integrative perspective that combines principles of social justice, criminal justice, and Christian ethics. Coursework explores topics like developmental psychology, sociology, research, public policy, and more. Students also complete 400 hours of practical field experience with the flexibility to choose when and where they want to pursue placement.

Students learn from highly experienced faculty who are practitioners in the field. Instructors build relationships with students, address their academic needs, and provide ongoing support as mentors during field education and beyond.

Graduates of Greenville's online BSW program have the theoretical and practical knowledge required to make a positive impact in their communities as advocates and leaders who make a difference in the lives of others. Possible work settings include school districts, child services agencies, churches, healthcare organizations, and more.
