Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology program is designed to prepare students to organize and evaluate health records for completeness and accuracy.  Courses teach skills and knowledge in medical terminology, communication, the human form and function, coding, reimbursement, and HIT-specific courses.  Graduates are prepared for careers as health information technologists and to sit for the National Registered Health Information Technologist exam.
