Program Details

The College of Education's Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Christian Education prepares grade 1-8 educators to deliver high quality Christ-centered learning experiences. Offered in collaboration with Grand Canyon Theological Seminary, this bachelors in elementary education degree program leads to initial licensure for elementary and middle school teachers while training you in the many facets of Christian formation. Founded as a teacher’s college in 1949, Grand Canyon University provides expert-led courses in instructional planning, classroom management, educational ethics and more, creating a strong foundation for your teaching practice in any setting. Specialized courses enhance your understanding of the biblical, philosophical and spiritual foundations of Christian development. The program concludes with a student teaching component, preferably conducted within a Christian school or educational entity.
