Undergraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management
The Undergraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management program at Golden Gate University is “condensed” and may be completed entirely online. The program is designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge that is required for careers that manage personnel. The courses will teach students the different management techniques, organizational structures, and the problems that professionals are facing within the field today. The program is intended for those that do not have the time to complete a bachelor’s degree in human resource management.
If a student is interested, there are also campus-based courses offered on the San Francisco campus.
The student will be required to complete five Required Courses for a total of 15 semester units. The five Required Courses are Human Resource Management; Labor-Management Relations; Personnel Recruitment, Selection and Placement; Compensation Decision Making; and Training Methods and Administration. Students may also replace any of the Required Courses with Management Principles, Internship: Management or Special Topics in Management.
Some of the courses may have prerequisites that need to be completed before registration. The prerequisites may be completed through approved transfer credit or course completion at Golden Gate University.
