Graduate Certificate in Technical Market Analysis
The Graduate Certificate in Technical Market Analysis program is for students that are interested in careers within the field of financial analytics. The certificate program is focused on preparing students for the Chartered Financial Technician (CFTe) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) tests. In addition, students will strengthen skills and knowledge in order to find careers as traders, advisors, portfolio managers, and brokers. Courses will also teach topics such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, and commodities with the field of market analysis.
All of the courses may be completed entirely online. If a student would like to take traditional classes, Golden Gate University also provides campus-based courses on the San Francisco campus.
Students will be required to complete a minimum of 15 units in order to receive the certificate. The Required Courses within the program are Technical Analysis of Securities, Wyckoff Method I, Wyckoff Method II, Technical Analysis of Trading: Strategy & Implementation, and the choice of any other 300 to 400-level ECON or FI course. The program recommends that the student takes Behavioral Finance and Building Efficient Trading Systems.
