Program Details

Georgia State University offers an online Associate of Arts in History degree.  Students completing the History degree study, analyze, and interpret the human past, learning from mankind’s collective memory and experience.  By examining the past in a History degree, you will gain an understanding of how the modern world evolved and a context for evaluating present-day societies’ political actions, ideas, and cultures.  Through an in-depth study of issues, students gain a foundation for knowledgeable decisions and rational life choices.  

This is a pathway degree that prepares students for their intended bachelor’s degree major, providing the necessary prerequisite courses to continue in their chosen field.
