Prepare to help an important part of the student population succeed with this online special education degree. This program is designed for those who have a bachelor’s degree in counseling, child and family development, psychology, or a closely related field. The master’s in special education online degree leads to initial certification and a master’s degree for aspiring teachers in the PreK-12 setting, working with diverse learners with mild disabilities.  

The curriculum provides effective pedagogy in both instruction and classroom management to apply principles of educational foundations to meet the diverse learning needs of special education students. Learn to develop school and community partnerships. Graduates will be able to use technological resources as tools for instruction and for adaptive and assistive devices for students.
