Education Specialist in Instructional Technology

Program Details

The online Education Specialist in Instructional Technology program is designed to meet the needs of educators working with 21st century learners, preparing educators to assume leadership roles in instructional technology.  The rigorous program provides advanced training in the use of technology in teaching and learning that naturally aligns with using those same technologies to create dynamic environments for instructional delivery.  The program is intended for school library media specialists, teachers, technology specialists and others who work in educational settings and have master’s degrees in instructional/educational technology or other closely related fields.

Requirements

  • Regionally accredited master’s degree in Instructional Technology or closely related field or possess a master’s degree in another field that includes a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours of instructional technology coursework
  • Possess an Induction or Professional Certificate or equivalent in a teaching field or a Certificate Eligibility for an Induction A 3.25 or higher GPA on all graduate work attempted
  • Possess a clear, renewable teaching certificate
  • Statement of purpose
  • Disclosure and Affirmation statements
