Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education

Program Details

Offered as either an Associate of Science or an Associate of Arts degree, the Early Childhood Education program from Georgia Military College is designed to prepare students for transfer to education programs at four-year institutions. The curriculum enables students to:

  • Examine and understand the issues facing schools in today's diverse society, including socioeconomic distinctions, gender, race, ethnicity, special education, and the changing standards for future educators
  • Explain the implications of current issues and trends relating to the education profession community for classroom practice
  • Analyze specific psychological theories by examining teaching and learning processes


Degree completion requires:

  • A.A. degree - 100-103 quarter hours
  • A.S. degree - 95-99 quarter hours

Application requires:

  • Official transcripts from every college attended
  • Official transcripts showing proof of high school diploma or equivalent (if fewer than 10 quarter credit hours for transfer)
  • SAT, ACT or Placement test
