Program Details

The online Associate of Science in Cyber Security program prepares students to either find employment within the field or to continue towards a bachelor degree in cyber security or computer science in a 4-year college or university.  The curriculum provides an understanding of basic programming, networking, and information security skills which allows students to protect the systems and data of the professions, communities, and organizations they are part of.  Graduates are able to:

  • Design and develop programs that use the Java programming language
  • Understand and describe the functions and interrelationships of network components
  • Understand and describe a variety of standard data structures
  • Identify key business assets and their associated threats and vulnerabilities 
  • Prepare plans that address confidentiality, integrity, and availability while managing risk


  • Official high school or GED transcripts
  • Official college transcripts, if applicable
  • Placement test (SAT or ACT scores may be submitted in lieu of this)
