You can earn your initial teacher preparation with the Master of Arts in Teaching / Middle Grades Education from GCSU. This online secondary education master’s degree offers two concentrations—Mathematics and Science Education.

Students focus on graduate coursework in professional education. Topics of study include the following:

  • Literature, reading, and writing
  • Technology for teachers
  • Middle grades learner
  • The exceptional individual in regular classes

The secondary education coursework follows both asynchronous and synchronous schedules. Graduates earn a T-5 certification in Middle Grades Mathematics and Science from the state of Georgia.
