Program Details

Georgetown University’s Blended Online Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program gives you the skills you need to take your finance career to the next level. Created by the distinguished faculty of the McDonough School of Business, the MSF’s world-class curriculum and revolutionary online learning platform offer intensive coursework with real-world applications, all with a commitment to principled leadership.

As an MSF student, you’ll learn from a faculty of accomplished professionals who will teach you how to value stocks, bonds, and derivatives, evaluate corporate investments, estimate expected returns and risks, and more. The Blended Online MSF program format combines asynchronous materials (e.g., professor presentation videos where the professor speaks directly to you using a virtual whiteboard and searchable transcripts) with required weekly live classes held—at six different times each week to ensure it can fit in your weekly schedule—in our revolutionary Blended Classroom, which gives you the choice of attending in person or online and receiving the same educational experience. The weekly live classes usually involve a real-world case analysis where you apply the lessons you’ve learned in the asynchronous materials, and where you have the opportunity to co-learn with your classmates. You’ll also have the opportunity to interact with your professors and classmates during office hours and numerous other events.

In the MSF capstone course, you’ll develop a Global Consulting Project for an international firm. Your capstone’s final presentation takes place abroad on a weeklong visit to the international client’s country. You can immediately apply your skills to your current role, plus your experience will set you apart for career advancement.

You can complete the program part-time or full-time on our 21 month-long traditional tracks, or in 10 months on our accelerated (intensive full-time) track. Learn more about how Georgetown University’s Blended Online MSF can help you take your place among today’s business leaders.
