Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Learning Behavior Disorder (LBD) program is for candidates with teaching certificates.  The curriculum is designed for those who wish to learn more about teaching students with mild to moderate learning and behavior disabilities.  Courses include:

  • Behavior and Classroom Management of LBD Students
  • Introduction to LBD
  • Educational Programming for LBD
  • Collaboration and Advocacy
  • Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders


  • Submit official transcripts with undergraduate degree posted and official transcript if graduate coursework was completed
  • Students must have either a 2.75 undergraduate GPA, a 3.0 on the last 30 hours of coursework, or a 3.5 on 15 hours of graduate work
  • Please answer the writing prompt using critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity
  • If you are certified in a state other than Kentucky, submit a copy of your teaching certificate
