Program Details

Genesee Community College offers an online Certificate in General Education.  With this liberal arts degree, students are able to complete general education requirements in ten areas.  You will gain knowledge and skills that help develop critical thinking skills, informational skills, and management skills, all of which are needed for various careers and further studies.  This liberal arts certificate is ideal for those who plan to earn an AAS degree and then transfer to a four-year institution.  These credits can be transferred to help complete your baccalaureate degree in a college or university.

Requirements

  • High school transcript or GED
  • College transcripts, if applicable
  • ACT test scores, or take the Accuplacer placement test
  • Students must submit a certificate of residence to qualify for New York State resident tuition
